Came for 3 nights with our teenage boys and dogs. Found the accommodation to be warm cozy and with comfort beds. The open ground around the cottage was perfect for a game of football and to walk the dogs. Can walk away into the fields without worrying about leads for the safety of the dogs. It was a first visit to Suffolk and this is a great location to travel north to Southwold or south to Aldeborugh as we did. Nothing seems to far away. The weather was great for us and we enjoyed the quiet location. Andrea came to say hello after we arrived which was lovely. Would recommend as a perfect spot. Especially is you have young children as it's so safe for them to run about.

We rented both Shepherds' huts to accommodate our family and it was lovely. They were very clean and the place was all ours. There is a great walk to the local pub too. Such beautiful countryside.

We stayed in the Byre with our dog which had everything we needed and more, lovely little cottage. Amazing location 15 minutes from beaches and nearby to lots of nice pubs- particularly liked the King’s head. Walks for miles accessible straight from the doorstep which we enjoyed for nice evening strolls. Brilliant weekend stay!

We stayed in Byre Cottage for six days which is so homely and in fabulous grounds with everything you could wish. All the Suffolk coast is so close and we had many days in Southwold down to Orford buying the local food and taking it home to eat in a lovely well equipped kitchen. The local pub is so friendly and does excellent food if you don’t want to cook at home. The welcome produce provided by Andrea was a lovely surprise and much appreciated.Charlythe four legged guest was very sad to leave as she was able to out of the doorand have a large field to romp in.

Lovely place. We had a few nights in the Byre which was very comfortable. Well located for the coast. Also for Helmingham Hall, if you like a good garden. Great pub 20 minutes’ walk away across the fields - made for an idyllic summer evening stroll with the dogs. Our kids have grown up now but years ago they would have loved all the outdoor space. Lots of footpaths nearby, great for exploring the countryside.

Gorgeous setting in the Suffolk countryside just a 15min drive to the beach and the pretty little seaside village of Southwold. The accomodation was clean, well equipped and spacious even for a family of 5 with a baby and 2 dogs. The grounds were beautiful with plenty of space for the dogs and kids to have a run about. It was lovely and peaceful (when the kids were in bed at least). The owners left a lovely little welcome hamper with all the essentials and some scrummy local treats.Great location for exploring both Suffolk and neighbouring Norfolk. Would definatly visit again! Loved it!

Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful farm. We had the most brilliant time in Woodpecker shepherd's hut to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was much more spacious than we imagined and it was equipped with everything we needed. The outdoor kitchen was ideal and the proper bathrooms above the cart lodge were an added luxury. We had a great walk in the surrounding fields and the sunsets were stunning. We would love to stay again!

I cannot recommend this property enough for a relaxing break away.I stayed here with my husband and 2 small dogs and it was perfect.Lots of green space for the dogs to run around safely, and a lovely private outdoor space to dine or relax outdoors.Inside was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. It is in a great location between Southwold and Aldeburgh both of which we wanted to be close to. This is my second visit and we will be back!!

We stayed at Bunkers Hill Farm in Woodpecker shepherd’s hut in June 2024 and had a lovely weekend. The site is well located in the village, within walking distance to the Queens Head pub.The shepherd’s huts have an outdoor kitchen facility which is very well equipped with sink and gas hob, as well as bbqs and a fire pit for each hut. Internally the hut was a in good condition, and tidy with a very comfy bed.The site has lovely walks around the grounds and is really well maintained. There is a shower block and toilets above the cart lodge as well as composting toilets by the huts.We had such a lovely time and are already planning when we can come back!Thank you to Andrea and James for their hospitality and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

We have had another fabulous stay at Bunkers Hill, staying in The Stables, 2 bedroom cottage. When looking for a quiet, get away, somewhere to relax and unwind, this is definitely the place to be. Once parking your car, the only sounds around are the variety of birds. Andrea and James make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. If you like walking, there are over 9km of walks straight from your front door. Superb for walking our dog and not seeing any traffic as we were able to use all the fields, which have wonderfully cut walk bridleways. This is an absolute must staying here. If you do want to use your car, then Halesworth, Southwold, and lots more fabulous places are only a short drive away. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had an amazing stay at the Stables which was exceptionally clean and tidy when we arrived. It felt like a home from home. Andrea and Jim made us feel extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The welcome pack allowed us to make tea and toast and have a drink in the evening. The Adnams beer was most appreciated! We will definitely be back to the stables soon.We often viewed the hares running in the field outside the the lounge window. It was nice to have darkness at night which allowed us to see the stars a lot better than at home.

Living only 30 miles away from this property we wanted to treat ourselves to a "child-free" few days away and we were attracted to this accommodation because of its rural location, but with good access to places that we wanted to visit. We found the accommodation to be very comfortable, clean and relaxing. We especially loved sitting outside in the sunshine using the outside furniture and patio (although the weather didn't allow us to do this much!).Our host was very friendly and accommodating to our requirements. We highly recommend this property.

We loved our stay at the Bunkers Hill Farm, the hosts were very welcoming and the shepherd huts were fantastic. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were also very comfy - which was very much needed after a long day of walking. It’s hard to find something suitable for 4 very active dogs but Bunkers Hill Farm was perfect for us it has so much space and easy access to fields/woods where the dogs can run and be free.Highly recommend! The dogs loved it just as much as we did. Thanks very much, looking forward to visiting again!

We had a wonderful weekend in the shepherd huts! They are all kitted out with fridge, kettle, toaster and crockery/cutlery, a seating area and plenty of storage space for your bags. Two of them have woodburning stoves inside – we didn’t need to use these in the summer weather but they would be super cosy in the winter time. The beds were so comfy, and it was truly lovely to wake up and open the door straight out onto the countryside! Each hut has its own fire and seating outside, and there is a covered area in the centre of the field for everyone to sit together. The outdoor kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook - for our BBQ we picked up some great meat from the local butchers in Bramfield. The Two Magpies is a great breakfast spot, only a short drive away and you can sit outside if the sun is shining. Our host Andrea was great, and made our stay really special. We will definitely be back!

What a lovely location for a quiet outdoorsy holiday. We came with our two teenage boys, so they had a hut each. We had so much space and well thought out design meant we had a well stocked outside kitchen, compost loos and sink (but there are flushing inside loos and proper showers inside too). There is a huge lawn and another picnic area.. shade under the trees and play tennis, or go for a walk in the fields and ancient woodland. Truly a slice of heaven and will definitely return. Got away from it all for a few days. Super nice people, super peaceful location and the most comfortable bed my husband has ever slept in. The yurt was light and spacious and in a beautiful position. There were other guests around, but we felt very private and secluded in our yurt field. It was a perfect mix of creature comforts and camping out.

Particularly loved that each hut has it's own private area with outside seating, fire pit etc and loved watching the sun go down and stars come out.
